Technical Roadmap: Protocol Milestones
This update outlines the key technical milestones on the Adina Labs development roadmap. Each workstream is presented with its current status, its dependencies, and the criteria by which we will judge it complete, providing a transparent basis against which the community can hold us accountable.
We are publishing this roadmap document not as a promise, but as a commitment to a specific kind of transparency. The milestones below represent our current best understanding of what needs to be built, in what order, and to what standard. Where our understanding changes, we will publish an update explaining what changed and why.
Protocol Infrastructure
The core protocol layer is the foundation on which every other component depends. It must be correct before it is fast, and it must be audited before it is live.
- Smart Contract Suite: The core contracts governing RWA tokenisation, ADINA utility functions, and governance are in active development. Completion of the formal specification is the gate criterion for beginning the audit process.
- Independent Security Audit: We have engaged a specialist audit firm. The scope covers the full contract surface, including interaction effects between contracts and the economic incentive structures embedded in the protocol design. The final report will be published publicly.
- Testnet Deployment: A public testnet will be deployed following audit completion and remediation of any identified issues. The testnet period is not a formality. It is a structured programme with defined exit criteria including minimum transaction volume, uptime metrics, and the absence of critical issue reports.
Wallet and Application Layer
The wallet and application layer translates the protocol into something a user can interact with. Our design philosophy here is that complexity belongs in the infrastructure, not in the user's hands.
- Wallet MVP: The minimum viable wallet will support ADINA management, RWA portfolio viewing, governance participation, and dApp connectivity. It will not launch without a completed security review of its key management implementation.
- dApp Integration Framework: A standardised SDK for third-party developers to build applications on top of Adina Labs infrastructure. Documentation, example implementations, and a developer sandbox will accompany the initial release.
- Mobile Applications: iOS and Android applications are in prototyping. The mobile security model is more complex than desktop, as hardware secure enclave integration varies across device generations. We are taking the time to get it right rather than ship something fast.
Community and Ecosystem Development
Protocol quality is necessary but not sufficient. A platform that nobody can use or build on has not achieved its purpose. The following workstreams run in parallel with the technical programme:
- Developer Documentation: Comprehensive technical documentation, including protocol specifications, contract ABIs, SDK references, and integration guides. Documentation will be versioned and maintained as a first-class engineering artefact.
- Ambassador Programme: A structured programme for community members who wish to contribute to ecosystem growth. Participation criteria, responsibilities, and reward structures will be published ahead of the launch.
- Educational Content Series: A series of publications covering the technical architecture of Adina Labs, the economics of real-world asset tokenisation, and the governance framework, written for audiences ranging from developers to institutional investors evaluating the platform.
Accountability Mechanism
We will publish a structured progress update on each of these workstreams on a regular cadence. Updates will report against the criteria defined above, not against subjective assessments of progress. Where a milestone is delayed, we will explain the cause and revise the timeline with a documented rationale. This is not a commitment to perfection. It is a commitment to honesty about where we are.
